Week 15 - State!!

Let's get Stoked!!  The final week of the season is upon us!   Here is what our week will look like: Monday:  Skate Ski / 20 min. Warm Up / 20 min. Sharpening Drills / 10 min. Cool Down Tuesday:  Classic Ski / 20 min. Warm Up / 10 x 30 sec. Intervals / 10 min. Cool Down                  - Guys night at Becca's 6:30 pm Wednesday:  Skate Ski / 30 min. Warm Up / Leg Speeds / 10 min. Cool Down Thursday:  7:30 am Leave for Pinedale / Ski & Wax / Eat Dinner Friday:  10k Skate Race / 1 skier every 15 sec.                       - Varsity Boys 10:00 am                       - Varsity Girls 10:40 am Saturday:  5k Classic Race / 1 skier every 15 sec.                                          - Varsity Women 10:00 am                      - Varsity Men 10:30 am

I did not get a single picture from Saturday's race because we were busy with the Klister.  Note there are some pictures of Jr. High racers mixed in.  Shadows in the pictures are terrible, but not much I could do about it. Here's a good one of our boy's captain. Nice job everyone.  

Week 14 - Two Weeks Left!

It was a great weekend of races on our home course !  I was so proud of all of you, you did a whole lot of dragon slaying. This week is going to be a good time to make sure all of your equipment is in good working order and you are doing each day of training with a purpose and a plan. It is a first week of Taper.  What that means is we will be scaling back on the length of our practices.  This will give you some extra time.  Please use it for good and not evil!  This means eating well , getting home work done and taking naps. Here's the scoop! Monday:  Classic Ski / 20 min. Warm Up / 30 min. Sharpening Drills / 10 min. Cool Down Tuesday:  Skate Ski / 20 min. Warm Up / 10 x 1 min. Intervals / 10 min. Cool Down Wednesday:  Classic Ski / 1:15 Over Distance Ski Thursday:  Yoga 5:45 in the Lab School Gym or Rest Day! Friday:  Skate Ski / 20 min. Warm Up / Game / 10 min. Cool Down Saturday:  No Practice / Rest Day or Active Recovery - meaning really easy relaxing ski on

Week 13 - Home Race

More photos from Soldier Hollow

I have posted more photos from day 2 at Soldier Hollow, the classic day, here .  On day two, Coach Becca had me chained to the wax bench all day doing Klister.  Besides loosing some brain cells, I was only able to get out and take photos of the last race, which was the men's 15km.  Sorry about that to the women and younger racers. Here is a good one.  Can you guess who this is?  In his defense, the slush was 8 inches deep and 1 in 5 guys were going down on the hairpin.  No shame in biting it here.

Week 12

With Soldier Hollow behind us we are looking at two races left, Laramie and then State in Pinedale. If you or your parents are are willing to help with the home race please let me know!
