June 29th - July 5th

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!! Some times holiday weeks can be a little more tricky on scheduling in training but some times it can be a great opportunity to do something fun and different. Monday:   Rest Day or 1:00 Bike to a Lake and Swim in it! Tuesday:   30 min. Run / 20 Core / 20 Swim meet at the stadium parking lot at 5:00 pm for an adventure with the UW team Wednesday:   1:15 min. Over Distance Run. Meet the UW team at 5:00 pm at the Stadium parking lot! Thursday:   45 min. Run / 20 min. Strength / 20 min. Core / 20 min. Yoga with the UW team at the LHS weight room 5:00 pm Friday:   1:00 Rollerski Breakfast Club with the UW team @ 6:00 am starts from Turtle Rock Coffee Shop   Saturday:   2 - 4 Run or Hike (or take this as your off day instead of Sunday) Sunday:   Rest Day or 1:00 Run, Swim or Bike

June 22nd - 28th

It sounds like it has been hot in Laramie!  Remember early morning or evening workouts are the way to go when it gets hot and don't forget your drink belt. Also don't forget summer is a time for adventure and adventure training is the best kind!  The Snowys are a great resource so get out your map, call a friend and go have fun! Here are some guide lines for training this week: Monday:   Rest Day or 1:20 Bike to a Lake and Swim in it! Tuesday:   Run/Strength/Yoga with the UW team at the LHS weight room 5:00 pm Wednesday:   1:30 min. Over Distance Run. You can meet the UW team at 5:00 pm at the Stadium parking lot Thursday:   Run/Strength/Yoga with the UW team at the LHS weight room 5:00 pm Friday:   1:00 Rollerski Breakfast Club with the UW team @ 6:00 am starts from Turtle Rock Coffee Shop  (the cement plant loop is a great loop to rollerski just watch for cars on the bridge) Saturday:   2 - 4 Hr Bike ride  (the ride to Centennial is fantastic!) Sunday:   Res

June 15th - 21st

Sorry this post is a day late!  Hope your week is off to a great start and that you had some adventures over the weekend.  I am in Quebec Canada right now so the next couple weeks might be a bit spotty. Summer Training - June 8 - 14

Hi Happy Skiers! I hope all of your summers are off to an amazing start!  As most of you know summer is the best time for a skier to gain their base fitness for the rest of the year.  As the saying goes "skiers are made in the summer." I will be posting training suggestions for each week.  You can move the days and activities around and fit it around your schedule just remember the thing to focus in the summer is easy volume. Also we have the opportunity to train with the UW team in the summer so some of the practices that I suggest will be with them. Monday:  Rest Day or 1:00 Swim or Bike Tuesday:  Run/Strength/Yoga with the UW team at the LHS weight room 5:00 pm Wednesday:  1:15 min.
