Week 6 and 7: Winter Break

This is going to be a short week of school but a very important two weeks of training.  This is an important time to get in a lot of on snow skiing that we have been missing so far this season.

Doing quality training right now will help you to avoiding being a Christmas star and peaking too soon.  You have been training hard and if you take two weeks off right now there is a good chance your body will go in to its supercompensation mode about two months too soon.  We have touched very briefly on the concept of supercompensation but I think this model really does a good job of showing you what we are doing with our training.


So Here is what the winter break will look like:

Monday:  Skate Skiing!!! / 30 min. Warm up / 45 Body Position and Timing Drills / 10 min. Cool Down

Tuesday am:  6:20 at 7220 / 20 min run / Plyos
Tuesday pm:  Classic Skiing / 1:30 Over Distance Ski

Winter Break Practices

Wednesday:  Brian Run Practice / 3:30 pm at LHS / Skate Ski / 1:30 Over Distance Ski

Thursday:  Brian Run Practice / 3:30 pm at LHS / Classic Ski / 1:30 Over Distance Ski

Friday:  Brian Run Practice / 8:00 am at LHS / Skate Ski / Time Trial

NO PRACTICE 23TH, 24TH, 25TH AND 26TH / Happy Holidays!

Wednesday:  Becca Run Practice / 9:00 am at LHS / Classic Ski / 2:00 Over Distance Ski / Video Technique

Wednesday PM:  Video work

Thursday:  Becca Run Practice / 9:00 am at LHS / Skate Ski / 2:00 Over Distance Ski / Fox Park?

Thursday PM:   Core and Yoga 4:00

Friday:  Becca Run Practice / 9:00 am at LHS / Classic Ski / Time Trial

Friday PM:  Core and Yoga 4:00

NO PRACTICE THE 30TH, 31ST, 1ST 2ND
