Training through Nationals!

We are on the downward slope to College & Junior Nationals!!! Coaches Christi and Rachel, as well as Trevor, will be headed to Krasnoyarsk, Russia for the World University Games! Something for everyone to aspire to! For the rest of the team, we'll be getting ready for Nationals. REMINDER: We are in week 4 of the peaking program so things will change at times so pay attention and please don't start new activities. We only have 2 weeks until Jr. Nationals so it's time to continue working on staying/getting healthy, eating well, resting and focusing your energy where it is needed! This peaking program works extremely well if you: do the training properly and don't do too much (you'll get tired and not race well) you do the training properly and don't do too little (you'll get sick!) Training 2/25 Monday: TAKE A NAP. That is the official training for the day so do it! Tuesday: 5:15, Education Gym Yoga (Becca) Wednesday: 4:15,

Week 15 - STATE RACE!!!

Hi All! I know that I am stoked for state this week!  I hope that you are too.  I also hope that you all are feeling a little healthier and have been taking some downtime this weekend.  Here is the plan for this week: Monday:   Core/Yoga - Yellow Academic Pod  Tuesday AM:   15 - 20 min. Run on Your Own Tuesday PM:   Classic Skiing / 30 min. Warm up / Agility and Technique / 15 min. Cool Down Wednesday AM:   20 min. Core on your own Wednesday:   Skate Skiing / 45 min. Monday:   Yoga/Core - What it means to taper Tuesday AM:     15 - 20 min. Run on your own or sleep in! Tuesday PM:   Skate Skiing / 30 min. Warm up / 45 min. Technique and Agility / 15 min. Cool Down Wednesday AM:   20 min. Core on your own  Wednesday:   Classic Skiing / 45 min. Active Recovery Thursday AM:   15  - 20 min. Run on your own or sleep in! Thursday PM:   Skate Skiing / 30 min. Warm up / 10 min. Natural Intervals  / 15 min. Cool Down Friday:   No Practice!  Take a nap! *Friday Evening:  Team Dinner!!!!  Everybody is welcome!!!!  Saturday:   Freestyle  Skiing / Cowboy Chase - Team Sprints (Optional)
