4th Week - Laramie Race!

What a great start so the season!  We have already been on snow for a full week and have done our first time trial!!  This week we have our first race and it is our home race.  Remember you must have at least 9 practices and 80% of practices in order to compete.  This week we are going to work on our skating technique and race prep.   

Thursday we will be waxing our skate skis and getting uniforms.  Friday's race is going to be a Skate relay.  Saturday's race will be a Skate interval start race. 

Monday am:  Core on your own

Monday pm:  Skate Skiing / 30 min. Warm-up / 45 min. Technique Work / 10 min. cool down

Tuesday am:  20 - 30 min. Run on your own

Tuesday pm:  Skate Skiing / 20 min. Warm-up /  35 min. Hill Resistance / 10 min. Cool Down 

Wednesday am:  Core on your own

Wednesday pm:  Classic Skiing / 1:15 Over Distance /

Thursday am:  20 - 30 min. Run on your own

Thursday pm:  30 min. Run / Waxing skate skis

Friday:  Leave the High School at 10:30 am for HJ

Friday, December 9th

-   Course open for inspection at 11:00 am

-   Bibs will be delivered by 12:00 pm

-   Course will remain open. Please yield to racers at all times!

-   Start Time - 1:00 pm

-   Freestyle Race: 3x3k Relay for Varsity 3x1k Relay for JV

-   Mass Start  

-   Order of start

  • Varsity Girls 1:00 pm

  • Varsity Boys 

  •  JV Girls  

  • JV Boys 


Saturday, December 10th

-   Course open for inspection at 8:00 am

-   Bibs will be delivered by 9:00 am

-   Course will remain open. Please yield to racers at all times!

-   Start Time - 10:00 am

-   Freestyle Race:  5k Varsity,  3k Jr. Varsity 

-   Interval starts:  1 skier every 30 seconds 

-   Order of start

  • Varsity Boys 

  • Varsity Girls

  •  JV Boys

  • JV Girls

3rd Week - Endurance Block

 Greetings Skiers!   I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break and got to eat a lot of good food!  I also hope you are ready to rock out some more dryland training this week. From the forecast, we don't have much snow in the near future (maybe some this weekend.)  However, if that changes be ready to do some skiing!   If you did a lot of training over the break, make sure you are recovering and being able to absorb all the work you did! Please come prepared to be outside for practice to do more strength circuits, hill bounding, and running!  The workouts in red are optional workouts for those of you who are feeling you need to get in more hours.
